Easily Offended People Offend Me

America’s self-appointed Morality Police scored another victory this week as a handful of its members struck a blow against that decades old den of depravity, Creative Advertising.

A controversial billboard in Encinitas that caused a stir among locals is slated to be taken down Thursday morning.  About a week ago, San Diego-based eyewear brand SPY put up a billboard on Highway 101 just off Encinitas Boulevard boasting the arguably racy slogan: “Happy to Sit on Your Face.” Source: NBC 7 San Diego 

Intuiting the sign’s subtly implied sexual offer, an army of civilian sex police immediately took action to protect our children from what could only be more recruitment propaganda straight out of the pages of The Gay (read:Happy) Agenda. 

The company said the slogan is directly tied to their new product, the “Happy Lens,” which launches next year, and is meant to be all in good fun.

The roar of disapproval from a chorus of decent, pious folk was so loud and large the billboard company had no other option but to concede to such an obvious moral majority.

“Despite the billboard’s positive reception, an underwhelming minority made enough noise that the management company decided this afternoon to remove it first thing Thursday morning.” SPY Optic Public Statement

Not one upstanding citizen of San Diego County raised his voice in support of such tawdry subliminal advertising.

 According to the same release, residents will also be protesting and demanding that the sign be put back up.            

We should be grateful to have among us, those so unflappable in the conviction that the whole of society should conform to their musty, puritanical persuasions. They are the ones whose finicky nostrils flare at the slightest scent of moral stench; The ones who keep women from showing their seductive ankles; The ones who prevent our children from being snatched from schoolyards and squatted upon like breathing, fleshy love seats. They have denied Happiness a seat at our table and wiped it from our faces. Rest easy, would be hedonists . Happiness is gone and there will be no second coming.
